Close application from Command Line

Hi!
I’m a bit puzzled here…to start an application/file etc… I use the command line: e.g. (Start c:\App.exe), but what is the command line that I can use which will close e.g. (c:\App.exe) just like when I click on the(X) sign of an applicationGUI?
