Close batch file on exit in Win2000 pro

I run a batch file script from tthe startup folder in Windows 2000 pro. When the batch finishes, it does not close on exit. I don’t see the option to close the cmd.exe window when it finishes. Is there a way to close the command prompt window automatically?
