Cold Fusion Question

Hi;

I have a Cold Fusion page that query the database for a text letter with some other information about the letter. This page displays the content of the letter. There is a button at the bottom of the page, when it is clicked it suppose to pass the letter information to another Cold fusion page, which suppose to display the letter in a printable format.
This is what I want to do:
1. Display printable format of the letter in a new window.
2. When this window is closed, it has to pass the date letter sent back to the first display page and updates the display with the new date letter sent.
