compaq ipaq synching across netwrok

Hi.
I am having trouble with some Compaq Ipaqs. We have a Novell 5.0 Server and are running Windows NT on the pc’s. The ipaqs are installed using the serial port.

Install the first ipaq to the 1st pc. Everything is okay. Install the 2nd ipaqto the 2 pc and the 1st ipaq quits synching. Get the first ipaq syching again. Everything is okay. Install the 3rd ipaq to the 3rd pc…. Nope, the 3rd ipaq synchs with the 2nd pc instead of the local pc.

Has anyone else seen this? Any suggestions are appreached.
