Compare NT4 & W2k with similar hardware?

Let say I have purchased 2 systems with similar hardware. On one I’ve installed NT4 & on other w2k with their standard installations & service packs. So:

1) In terms of performance which one would be better.
2) For clients access which one is preferred among these two.
3) A guy said to me its preferable to use NT4 in this senario, as it takes less resources than W2k. Ok fine. But what about If having PIII with 256MB ram on both. W2k is resource hungry, I admit, but its performance is far better than NT4. What do u think.
