I hope I can explain this , but I had a technical support person load up a program that required loading Sql Server Connectivity on the client to make a Visual Basic application work in Win 95/98.
The Program works but I found a glitch on the after installation. It appears when I attempt to go into control panel by using Start|Settings|Control Panel… My system reboots. Ive also tried accessing it various ways by typing in Control *.cpl (* representing various programs within Control Panel) from the Start|Run| Control *.cpl
Everything works except the Control main.cpl
This is where it reboots everytime. How can I fix this problem? Ive tried re-copying the Control.exe back over but it doesnt seem to fix it. It must be tied intosome registry setting. I would hate to reload Win95 and Win98 on 15 machines to fix it.
