I am running W2k Sp2 Office 2000 SP2, on a PIII 1000 PC. The comptuer is new.
When opening some word documents word will hang and then the computer will reboot. I get the following error in the event log:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000007f (0x00000008, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000). Microsoft Windows 2000 [v15.2195]. A dump was saved in: C:\WINNT\Minidump\Mini092801-05.dmp
I do not get a blue screen even if the option to automatically reboot is unchecked.
Here is some of what I tried:
-giving user another new computer (2 in fact)
-I was running office 97, so updated to 2000..same problem
-installed pc from scratch (was using ghost)
not using ghost – didn’t fix problem
-reinstalled office 2000 SP2 and Windows 2000 SP2 – didn’t fix problem
-renamed user account
-created a new profile on pc
I have tried so many things and nothing has worked. The rest of the compuer works perfectly. And the rest of the office suite works fine.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
