Computer shuts off/hibernates

This has been an ongoing problem: my BOSS’s computer (win98 – older model) will shut down if he’s not using for a while. Of course, all power settings are to “never” shut down… At one point I thought it might be related to his CMOS battery – which I replaced. STILL “hibernates.”

He tells me he’s rebooting several times/day.

Anything else I can try?
