I have two desktop PCs with Win ME (Gateway) and Win 98 (Dell) on them connected to a Gateway Laptop (Win 98) with your FS108 Switch and Cat5 cables. The Win ME computer can see the laptop and itself but all other computers can only see themselves. The computers can only ping themselves. The machine with Win ME cannot ping the Gateway Laptop. It just says that the estimation host was unreachable. The Dell has a Netgear NIC and the other two machines have 3Com Nics. I have printers shared on theDell and Win ME machine. All computers have the same workgroup name and I even put in an IP address for the two Win98 machines and subnet masks but that did not help.
I get the 100 LED on the computers and lights on the switch but I do not see activity on the switch.
I eventually want to share a dialup connection between these computers as well as printers. Please advice. Thanks in advance.
