computers wont shut down

The school where I work on computers is having some trouble with some of them. When in Windows if I go to the Start menu and try to shut down it will get to the Windows is now shutting down your computer screen and it freezes. The computers have Pentium 233 with 64Mb RAM. They are running Win95. What should I try?
