Configuration Management culture

Hello all,

I’m trying to improve CM (Configuration Management) processes at our company. I envision this to involve several *changes*. And I’m having troubles setting those things that *change* the way people got used to work. A rather usual situation.

What I would like to ask of you is to redirect me to some resources, containing information that is:

1. Relevant to good (e.g. RUP-style) CM approaches

2. Is CONSISE enough and EASY enough to be read by an average developer or manager. It should help me to convince people to adopt best CM practices.

3. Has some authorities (the more, the better, and the bigger, the better) signed on it

4. Enumerates “best CM practices”

5. Prooves the importance of Private Workspace methodology

6. Explains integration & other similar stuff

Thanks!
