I am going to try to make this as simple as possible.
One DVR machine (A)with networking capabilites will try to be accessed remotely on a laptop (B)wirelessly. Now, there is distance between point A and B, no phone lines, no power, no internet, nothing. The location this DVR will be installed is in the middle of nowhere, and power will be obtained through solar power. Now, i am told that I will need a wireless bridge that will connect to the DVR at point A, and a wireless router connected to the laptop at point B. Linksys routers and bridges will be used. The final goal is to be able to access the DVR remotely to view camera footage, using the laptop at Point B. This is done by means of our remote viewing software, which requires us to log in to the DVR using the router IP where the DVR is located. But, if there is only a bridge present in that location, what IP would we use??
How can we without a doubt make a wireless connection between the two machines in order to log in?
My wireless networking skills are very limited, any help is appreciated. Thanks.
