Connecting shared printer on W2K

I’m having a problem in connecting a shared printer in one of our computer lab with Win 2000 OS.

When a new student log on, he can’t print on the shared printer, he can see the printer but he cant print on it, it is some thing to do with access rights, he can just connect the printer and it will work, but as a computer lab I like to keep the printer connected for all students.

I tried installing printer as administrator copying the profile to all users and default users, etc. no luck

Any clue.
