i have PDC(192.168.1.65)with windows nt terminal server 4.0 to which all client machines(ip statically assigned ) connect using microsoft terminal server client program few days before which was connecting very properly but due to hub failure all machines were not able to connect now when i replaced the hub i can see that signal are correct on the hub. client machines can browse the pdc shares from network neighbourhood but when it tries to ping the pdc it says “connection to the server timed out ..”
i restarted my pdc. when i route add the client ip in the route list of pdc and route add the pdc add in the list of client mac then i can connect to the terminal server but again whenever i restart my terminal server my client can not ping to the pdc now again when i repeat the route adding steps on both the srever and the client, my client is able to ping the pdc i want to get rid off this route add nad delete kindly help me out
