connection pooling and ODBC

hello people,
I’m new to working with the odbc panel. I’m having a problem with some new workstations that can’t connect to a database. I’ve noticed that the ones that can connect have the driver (an oracle version 8) in a connection pooling tab on the odbc panel. The new workstations don’t have this connection pooling so I’m wondering if setting the pooling feature will make them work on the database.
My problem is how do I do this?? I’ve gone to the technet site on microsoft and have gotten several docs. on enabling the pooling on the web server, but none of them make sense to me as far as enabling this feature on the workstations? We have win98 as workstations. Can someone please tell me what to do??
