Content Refresh – File Server Problems

by networm . Updated 23 years, 3 months ago

SETUP

I have a File Server setup on Windows 2000/2003 which hold the clients web files and another server has all the IIS5.0/6.0 instances. Both the servers are on the same network. The path in IIS to a clients web site is set to use a Remote Share via UNC path. The Connect As username and password are provided. Everything works fine.

The Problem

Now comes the tricky part. Whenever the client updates a page in the web site, the page takes about 15-20 minutes to update. Even after refreshing the browser, clearing the cache, closing and opening the browser, etc. – nothing works. The page takes 15-20 minutes to refresh the changes.

I was wondering if this is a problem with the setup or is this the default time it takes to refresh contents from a File Server? I’m sure someone will guide me to the proper settings. Thanks in advance.
