Context path in jboss

The war file,i have deployed in tomcat doesn’t work when i deployed it in jboss3.2.3? The problem is when deployed in Tomcat, it unpacked first and run so the directory structure remains there but it is not so in jboss?The deployed war file remain as it is?So I can’t refer the directory structure within that for reading properties file?
