This question is the continuation of an earlier post that remains unanswered.
My previous problem was that my Win98 clients were no longer retrieving their logon scripts (.BATs) after migrating to Win2k servers. They were fine under NT4.
I now have the scripts executing, but now the problem is that they seem to “hang”, never successfully completing. The dos window says all tasks are completed in succession, but the Windows alert dialog informing you of the logon script being executed (“Please wait while NT Logon Script executes -> ‘CANCEL’) never goes away. The system will sit and wait and wait until it eventually stops responding. If I select cancel, no mappings get done.
My second problem is that the mapping to the users home folders specified in their User Profile is also not being executed. (Mapping drive Z: to \\server\homefolderpath)
Need some help…
