Controlling where files go

Does anyone know of a product (short of a full blown document management
system) that can control where files are allowed to be saved? One of our
customers has asked if it is possible to stop certain file types eg *.gif,
*.jpg etc being saved onparticular network drives (eg H:\)

Any ideas?
