contstant disk check

Before Windows Vista boots (and this has happened to me with XP as well), it wants to check my backup partition. I created this partition using the only partitioning program i could get to work. Partition magic wouldnt work, it just came up with errors. But i got this to work an di resized my XP partition to make it larger for my games, and made Vista partition smaller, and made space to create a backup partition. Now it keeps wanting to run a disk check. Even when i let it run ever time it keeps asking.

Please help!
