Core Duo 1.7ghz 1mb cache versus 2 mb cache. What’s quicker?

I am puzzled. I have 2 laptops with the same speed but have different cache sizes. Both are 1.7ghz and are core duo cpus. But one has a L2 cache of 2mb versus the other one with L2 cache of 1mb. Is the difference in processing power going to be much of a difference?
