corrupt mail

I have corrupt mail in my inbox in netscape mail 4.7. Mail is POP3. Every time I try to open my mailbox it crashes at 84% loaded. I need to be able to read the other mail. How do I save my mail? Is there some way I can delete or move the mail that’s bad and not lose the other mail. It is a very large inbox mail file. Win98 os.
