Could not join Domain

i have to join four windows 2000 advanced server computers to the root domain which is also windows 2000 advanced server. in the beginning two were able to join. but now all of them are unable. it keeps saying “the specified domain either doen’t exist or could not be contacted”

how can i solve this?
