“CPR” for HDD

I have a Seagate U4 Model ST34311A, Obviulsy, if you can answer to this question, everyone can solve a similar problem.

It?s a very common problem… my HDD is not working. The little motor is not working, I connect it to the computer with the power wires and… nothing… the computer can?t detect the HDD. There is no sound from the HDD, Obviusly I can?t get the information, because the motor is not running…

Do you know how can I rescue my disk?

I?m working on a friends computer… but I hope you can help me.
