Cracked Laptop Screen

I accidentally cracked the bottom of my laptop screen, which lead to dead pixels in my screen. It started out small, but they have been gradually getting bigger, making very noticable black or dark blue streaks and blobs appear on my screen. Is there a way to halt that progression, or fix the screen?
