I am totally perplexed as to how to fix the following problem. My son removed the partition from a Compaq Presario 7000, tryin to cover up teenage activity. I went to reinstall windows XP which was going fine until the power went out. When trying again to install it, an error message.. NTLDR is missing.. since that time nothing has worked. I can’t use a recovery disk, a Win98 floppy won’t help, XP won’t install. I am down to wondering if I can hook the hard drive to another computer to save family pictures and some much needed documents. If anyone knows of another fix, I would appreciate the help. If not, anyone that can provide me with detailed info as to how to set up the hard drive as a secondary to another desk top will prove to be a life saver. My daughters 1st birthday pictures are on this computer and I desperately want to recover then and some other items. Thanks in advance.
