Creating ERD

I need help creating an emergency repair disk for my NT workstation laptop. It keeps giving me the blue screen and I can do anything. Does anyone know a way around this problem. Like maybe booting with another type of boot that will allow me to open up the c: drive and copying my files to another source or something.
