cyber drive burner

i have a cyber driver burner and each time i put the disc in the drive to burn the device says that my max speed is 32x. Even thought i’ve changed it to 40x several times. i’ve even reinstalled the software and i still get the same problem. Your help is greatly appreciated in advance
