Database madness

We are a small company – we have an Exchange 2000 server, Windows 2000 servers, and host our own website. About 1 1/2 years ago we purchased ACT database in hopes that it would become the piece that would tie things together into history files for our clients but we have had some poor experiences with this database. We are currently using 4 different databases and re-entering the same data in each of these – user productivity is a mess since we are entering duplicate data – does anyone have a good solution for getting rid of databases?
