dead hard drive

I have a fujitsu 30gb hard drive running windows xp professional, while working on it, a blue screen came up with error Kernel stack inpage error, please restart. I restarted and now cannot get the computer to recognise the drive in the bios, i have tried putting in the specs of the drive manually, but no luck, any suggestions?
