Dead PC!!!!

my PC an HP pavilion 8555c shut down by itself few days ago. I tried all possible solutions to get it back to run again without success. There is no power at all? What is the problem? I assume the power supply gone bad!!! Is it easy to replace itand get it back to an operational situation? How would the cost be?
