Default Media Player

Hi.
I have Windows Media Player and Real Networks Player installed. I want to make one or the other the default, and or disable one or the other. I have searched the folders for each Player, but I have not found how to make one the default. As to the disable ?, I have looked here and there, but cant find how to do that either.
