Default Shares on NT Servers.

I have mutiple NT servers and I am very new to Administration and Engineering. I am wondering if I have an NT Server with IIS on it running our Intranet can I change the default hidden share of c$ with permission for everyone(full control) to c$ with permissions set to Domain Admins(full control). Will this effect everyones access to the Intranet web service or will everything go on as they have. I believe that there will be no problems with me doing this but I would like some more opinions.
