Delete dir & files w/ strange names?

I have directories and files on my FTP site that I can’t delete. Some are using reserved names AUX, LPT1 etc. other are long with spaces, brackets etc. I can’t delete or change the properties of these files. Reboot doesn’t help. The directories contain music and video files.
