Deleting SQL causes Event Viewer error

I have a BDC with NT 4.0 SP5 installed w/Exchange 5.5 and IIS 4. A previous admin installed SQL Server 6.5 on the BDC. I uninstalled it, but now I am getting an Event Viewer error msg that says:

ADO Error 80004005:[DBNMPNTW] Specified SQL Server not found.

Obviously Active X is looking for SQL, but I have already gone into the ODBC icon under Control Panel and unpooled the SQL driver. This makes no difference. Where else should I look to disable this? Thanks.
