Dell Dimension 8100 Replace Hard Drive

I want to replace my hard drive from my Dell Dimension 8100. The original hard drive is only 20 GB. How can I tell which hard drives will work on my computer? I don’t know anything about hard drives, what to look for, or what brands are the best quality. Any advice would be appreciated!
