Dell Monitor Blacked Out

I have a Dell Dimension 4600C with an LCD Flat Screen Monitor. Everything seemed to be working fine. I shutdown my computer for the night but when I tried to power it up the next morning, the screen remained black. There is power to the monitor. I have checked all the cords and plugs. And the pins all seem fine. Is there anything else I can check before I breakdown and purchse a new one?
