Desktop hidden

The wallpaper is COMPLETELY hidding the desktop. I can’t even see the task bar!
I couldn’t see a right click to get to display properties so I went into the registry and changed the wallpaper setting to “none”, but even the “none” setting is covering the desktop. I can go thru ctrl+alt+del and run task manager. Most things run, except I/E This acts as a peer server and the other w/s’s can access it.How can I access display properties thru task manager? It’s not listed.

Any ideas?? This hassvpk1 installed.
