I have a problem that is beyond my comprehension of Win98. Whenever I insert a program CD in the CD-ROM drive it starts to load and then an error message says:
“Setup is unable to decompress and copy all the files needed for installation. Contact your software vendor. Error 112”
Anyone know what this means? Is a device driver missing in the system files? I’ve tried so many things over the last few days. I actually managed to remove the message once by installing a Multi-function adapterdriver but, as soon as I reinstalled Windows again, I got the same error message back and when I went to install the MFA driver again it didn’t fix it. So I’m really lost now. Help!
