Dial up Networking

I am having a lot of trouble getting my pc to open web pages once I dial up my isp. I get connected fine but can’t download any pages. I have uninstalled and reinstalled tcp/ip, dial up networking and have even followed the directions on microsoft’sweb site for deleting and reinstalling tcp and dial up and still I can’t get the pages to load. I get a connection but then I receive the message the page cannot be displayed and refresh just doesn’t do anything. Any ideas??
