Dialup HyperTerminal and a networked PC?

OK, Here goes…I have a small office setup that uses DSL to connect to a router then the Net. All works fine EXCEPT one of the PC’s need to use HyperTerminal to connnect to an account server, This server will only accept dial in access. I have a seperate working phone to use, I have the factory installed HCF PCI Rockwell modem installed, The PC is using a updated Win98SE O/S. I have verified the HyperTerminal settings with the outside server people, I can hook a phone up to the modem and dial the number a get the server. But when I use HyperTerminal, It says connnecting then timesout after a minute. I see no conflicts, I have even uplugged the CAT5 cable and disabled the NIC card, still no luck. I have run a modem test software Pkg. it says my modem is working, but it wont dial!!! Any help would be great I am stumped!!
