digital camera

help!i have just purchased a jenoptik digital camera.it connects to my pc by usb,i have windows 98,i installed the twain driver disc,then the software cd,then tried to download my photos from the camera but the camera wasnt found in either usb port.a box appeared saying that i need to update my software to use the camera?can you help me please?
