Direct parallel cable connect 2k to 98

Using a PCAnywhere parallel cable to connect a Win 98 PC as host and a Win2k PC as guest, the Win 2k PC attempts to connect, but cannot verify any username or password I try which are the ones I use to logon to either PC or the network name of the Win 98 PC. The Win2k dialog also wants a domain name which may be unnecessary. What username/password/domain is Win2k looking for?
