Direct X Error #35

I’m getting a “Direct X Error #35” when I try to play a game. The error only pops up when I turn on “3D Accerlation”. I am currently using Direct X 8.0. Does anybody know what this error means? Is their a web site that has these errors displayedon it so they may be looked up. I spend allot of hour in the Microsoft Knowledge Base and came up with nothing. I have also downloaded the newest drivers for my video card and the problem still remains.
