I recently rebuilt my system and added a GeForce FX AGP card, after installing the drivers and DirectX 9.0b I went in to the system imformation files and looked up DirectX and ran the test for everything all worked fine. Then I went into my adaptor information box and noticed that it reads my DirectX as 8.1 this it seems is having an effect on one of the games that I play causing slow downs and skipping. I reinstalled all the drivers still nothing changes, the only thing that I haven’t done is to update the firmware of the video card, I have the update but haven’t extracted it to a floppy yet thinking that the card is so new (Gainward 780/FX GeForce 256mb) that a flash won’t work, if anyone has a fix for that or info that could help It would really help me out……. thanks,
