Disable Power Management

I have read numerous time about the suggestion to disable power management. Firstly, is this done by selective startup in msconfig, and if so, which one do I deselect. I see two similar things there. One is LoadPowerProfile Registry (Machine Run)Rundll32.exe powerprof.dll,LoadCurrentPwrScheme
