disable screensaver in DOS

Is it possible to disable the screensaver in windows 2000 when I’m running a DOS program?
I know that this was possible in Windows 9x, in the properties window for DOS you could choose “Enable Screensaver”.
Windows also minimize the DOS program when the screensaver starts!
