disabling a NIC

i have 2 NIC in my laptop, ( Intel and 3Com ), There are 2 profile of my laptop; remote ( all NIC are disable ) and Network. Now, i want to disable my Intel without adding new profile or remove the card ( still using network profile ) , how can i do that ?
