Disaster Recovery issues with Win2k

by mlefe2002 . Updated 24 years, 9 months ago

I have attempted to restore Windows 2000 using different hardware than the original server. Upon successful restore of Active Directory and the system state, I cannot configure TCPIP on my multi-homed server. I get an error that I must first enable the adapters and install TCPIP, which were already installed and enabled. When I try to remove the adapters, upon restart they show up as “local area connection 3 & 4”. Am I missing something or is disaster recovery not an option for Win2k on different hardware?
