This message keeps coming up after installing XP onto my new hard drive. The new drive is a 320 GB Seagate Barracuda. This happens when I try to boot with out the XP installation disk in. When trying to boot with the disk in, it either goes directly into the installation screen or boot off the CD into Windows. I have no idea how to fix this issue.
Things I’ve tried:
-Changing the jumpers on the CD Drive from master to slave.
-Checked my BIOS for the boot configuration.
a. Tried Hard Drive as first priority.
b. Tried disabling CD boot.
-I have deleted the existing partition and reinstalled XP twice.
-Disconnected my internal backup drive.
I’m running out of ideas and am in dire need of some assistance. Help would be greatly appreciated.
